About Delay Payout
Delay Payout is an independent reference that reads flight-compensation amounts straight from the regulations (EU Regulation 261/2004, the UK's retained version, Canada's SOR/2019-150 and US 14 CFR Parts 250 and 260), measures flight distance by great circle from published airport coordinates, and shows the free route of claiming directly from the airline first. Every figure names its source and the date it was checked.
How the site works
The amounts, thresholds and deadlines are copied from the regulations themselves — EUR-Lex, legislation.gov.uk, Canada's Justice Laws site and the US eCFR — and from the regulators' own pages. Distances are computed by great circle from published airport coordinates. US airline commitments and punctuality come from the Department of Transportation. The methodology page lists every source and check date.
What the site is not
Delay Payout is not a claim company, a law firm or an airline. It does not take claims, charge fees or receive anything from the claim companies it mentions. It shows the free route — claiming directly from the airline — first on every page.
Corrections
If a figure is wrong or a source has changed, email hello@delaypayout.com with the page and a link. Corrections go into the data file and the check date updates with the next build.
